Advice for MCQ candidates who are residents of Iran

14 September, 2026

Pearson are unable to schedule or deliver exams for candidates who are residents of Iran at this time unless they can provide proof of primary residency outside of Iran.

If you can provide documented proof of residency outside of Iran, please ensure you update your address in your AMC account and contact the MCQ team at mcq@amc.org.au to schedule your examination. Please see below documentation requirements.

The AMC has contacted the impacted candidates who had scheduled an MCQ exam at the time of the suspension of General License G by the U.S. Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control which came into effect on 24 August 2026.

If you are a resident of Iran, have booked an MCQ exam and are unable to provide evidence of primary residence outside of Iran please contact the MCQ team for a refund.

We recognise the significant inconvenience and distress this may cause. We are reviewing the available options for affected candidates noting that any alternative arrangement must comply with AMC’s assessment standards and security requirements.

We will keep affected candidates informed as further information becomes available.
