The Australian Medical Council is an organisation whose work impacts across the lands of Australia and New Zealand.

The Australian Medical Council acknowledges the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the original Australians and the Māori People as the tangata whenua (Indigenous) Peoples of Aotearoa (New Zealand). We recognise them as the traditional custodians of knowledge for these lands.

We pay our respects to them and to their Elders, both past, present and emerging, and we recognise their enduring connection to the lands we live and work on, and honour their ongoing connection to those lands, its waters and sky.

Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people should be aware that this website may contain images, voices and names of people who have passed away.

The AMC LinkedIn account is a forum for our audiences who have an interest in the standards of education, training and assessment of the medical profession.

As a user of the AMC’s LinkedIn account, you may express your views, comments, ideas and insights. At the same time, you should show courtesy and respect to others and must not use the channels to abuse others, expose others to offensive or inappropriate content, or for any unlawful purpose.

We monitor our LinkedIn account during standard Australian business hours, 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

We reserve the right to remove any posts for any reason, including posts that:

  • don’t adhere to these guidelines
  • include personal information, such as names, addresses and phone numbers
  • are likely to cause offence or insult
  • personally attack, defame or name-call individuals or groups of people
  • contain commercial content or advertising
  • are obscene, racist, discriminatory, sexual or indecent in nature
  • are directed at another user and intended to bully, ‘troll’, defame or otherwise harm or distress someone else
  • promote inaccurate, inappropriate or harmful advice or information
  • contravene any applicable laws, including copyright, privacy, etc, or
  • contravene the platform (e.g. LinkedIn) terms and conditions.

We may also block or delete you as a user if we consider that you have breached these conditions.
Comments posted to the AMC LinkedIn page do not represent the opinions of the AMC and its employees. The AMC takes no responsibility for user content posted to its social media pages.
