The Australian Medical Council is an organisation whose work impacts across the lands of Australia and New Zealand.
The Australian Medical Council acknowledges the Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the original Australians and the Māori People as the tangata whenua (Indigenous) Peoples of Aotearoa (New Zealand). We recognise them as the traditional custodians of knowledge for these lands.
We pay our respects to them and to their Elders, both past, present and emerging, and we recognise their enduring connection to the lands we live and work on, and honour their ongoing connection to those lands, its waters and sky.
Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people should be aware that this website may contain images, voices and names of people who have passed away.
We are excited to announce that we have just signed the lease on a new site for the AMC test centre! We expect that the centre will be open and operating AMC clinical exams in March 2025.
Like the previous test centre, the new AMC test centre will be a state-of-the-art facility that harnesses the best of technology and talent to deliver a high standard of assessment fairness, validity, reliability and a genuine and seamless experience for candidates.
The new test centre will be located on the lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation in the Docklands district of Naarm (Melbourne). Cultural artistic elements and story have been embedded in the new test centre design led by Gunditjmara, Wemba Wemba and Yorta Yorta artist Tommy Day.
The AMC is committed to increasing cultural safety for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander participants and stakeholders.
