Candidate Portal Terms of Use
PLEASE READ THE TERMS OF USE CAREFULLY.
The Australian Medical Council’s (AMC) Online Candidates Portal is owned and operated by the Australian Medical Council (AMC). The information, documents and services available on this Candidates Portal are subject to the terms, conditions, and disclaimers set below (the ‘Terms of Use’). Your acceptance of these Terms of Use constitutes a legal agreement between you and the AMC. Please note that the AMC reserves the right to change the Terms of Use by updating this Agreement at any time. You should visit this page periodically to review the current Terms of Use.
Candidate Number, User ID and Password – Any candidate number, user ID or password (user ID and password are required for the ‘Candidates Portal’) assigned to applicants of AMC assessment Pathways or AMC examinations is important information and can be linked to personal information. Applicants are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their candidate number, user ID and password.
User ID (email address) – It is the responsibility of the applicant to notify the AMC immediately if the user ID (email address) is changed. The email address is required for correspondence to be forwarded.
Providing false, misleading or deceptive information to the AMC has serious consequences. The AMC will act on any such breaches, any failure to comply with these terms of use, or inappropriate behaviour, and the AMC may take action against individual candidates that may include, but not be limited to:
- withholding or cancellation of the results of the candidate involved;
- suspension of candidature for a period to be determined;
- termination of eligibility to sit future AMC examinations for the purposes of registration;
- reporting of breaches of examination rules to the Medical Board of Australia;
- legal action to recover any losses incurred by the AMC.
In accepting these Terms of Use you agree that you will operate this ‘Candidates Portal’ in good faith and in no way will attempt to compromise the security or integrity of the ‘Candidates Portal’ system or associated computer systems or in any way interfere with access provided to other AMC candidates (applicants).
The AMC reserves the right to terminate an applicant’s eligibility to sit the AMC examination or not to proceed with specialist assessment of any applicant if they fail to comply with the requirements set out in the Terms of Use.
