Changes to Remuneration for AMC Simulated Patients
AMC Directors have approved new rates of payment for simulated patients and role players in line with the independent report by the Consultancy Bureau Pty Ltd. The new rates of payment, which are expected to commence from 1 July 2016, will bring the Australian Medical Council into line with Australian medical schools. AMC launches new edition of the publication Good Medical Practice – Professionalism, Ethics and Law
The Australian Medical Council is pleased to announce the publication of a new edition of Good Medical Practice – Professionalism, Ethics and Law. The President of the AMC, Professor Jill Sewell AM, officially launched the 4th edition of the publication at a function held at the AMC National Test Centre in Melbourne on Monday 19 December 2016.

The Australian Medical Council welcomes new Chair of the Medical School Accreditation Committee
The Australian Medical Council (AMC) has appointed Professor Geoff McColl as the new Chair of the AMC’s Medical School Accreditation Committee. Professor McColl is the Head of the Melbourne Medical School and Professor of Medical Education and Training. Professor McColl is a well-known and respected member of the medical community and has worked with the AMC for a number of years as a member and Chair of AMC assessment teams, as a member of MCQ writing workshops, the National Test Centre research committee, the Assessment Benchmarking Working Group and the Expert Advisory Panel on Assessment.
