I want to apply to the Australian Medical Council in paper using the Form A (or SA, CA, CA-T or V2). How can I pay for my application via the Internet?

From February 2008, the online payment facility for paper applications has been discontinued. Payments for paper applications are to be done via Cheque, Money Order or Credit Card. Cheque or Money Order payment must be made payable to the Australian Medical Council . All payments must be made in Australian Dollars.

Note: If you have access to the Internet you should consider applying online to the Australian Medical Council.

Can I use my American Express or Diners cards?

No. The only acceptable credit cards are Visa and MasterCard.

Can I use my EFTPOS or savings account?

No. The only acceptable method of payment is credit card (Visa or MasterCard).

Can I pay in US dollars?

No. All payments must be in Australian dollars.

Can I process my application online but then pay by cheque or money order?

No. All payments must be online by Visa or MasterCard.

What do I do if my credit card payment is declined?

Please contact your bank to discuss this issue. Common problems include:

  • There are insufficient funds.

  • The credit card has expired.

  • International transactions are restricted.

  • Internet transactions are restricted.

  • The transaction and/or card limit on the credit card is too low.
