Scheduling process

Pearson VUE is the supplier of computer delivered examinations for the AMC, and the MCQ Examination candidate scheduling is undertaken via the following process:

1. AMC candidate to apply online by using the AMC MCQ online scheduling portal or to submit Form C-1 application and payment to the AMC before the closing date.

2. On completion of your online scheduling application or on processing of Form C-1 application and payment, AMC to send email to candidate to acknowledge application with details on further processes.

3. AMC will forward candidate details to Pearson VUE for creation of account with Pearson VUE.

4. Pearson VUE will forward an email directly to AMC candidate informing of their account information and instructions on scheduling via the Pearson VUE network - please allow approximately 48 hours for Pearson VUE to process candidate emails during weekdays.

5. AMC candidate to contact Pearson VUE via website or telephone at a Pearson VUE Call Centre to schedule for an AMC MCQ Examination.

6. Once AMC candidate has scheduled, Pearson VUE will forward a confirmation email to AMC candidate with examination details. This includes:

  • Examination date and time
  • Venue address
  • Required ID documentation

7. Pearson VUE will inform AMC of candidate’s MCQ examination and venue selection to update candidate’s AMC records. An AMC placement will then be emailed to candidate – please allow approx. 24 to 48 hours to receive the AMC placement letter via email.

8. If AMC candidate hasn’t made contact with Pearson VUE by the examination closing date, the candidate will forfeit a seat in that particular MCQ examination, and will therefor be required to withdraw. Penalties will apply (please see http://www.amc.org.au/index.php/img/exam/mcq/fees).

Change of venue process

If you wish to reschedule into another venue for an AMC MCQ examination, you must do so by the closing date of the AMC MCQ examination. You are required to contact Pearson VUE and arrange to be re-scheduled. Pearson VUE will inform the AMC of any venue changes, therefore you are not required to contact the AMC.

Withdrawal process

If an AMC candidate wishes to withdraw from the Off-shore an AMC MCQ On-shore or Off-shore Examination, the follow procedures must be followed:

Contact Pearson VUE to cancel your appointment; AND

Submit the MCQ Examination Withdrawal Form to the AMC, in order for a refund (less withdrawal fee) of your examination payment. Click here to obtain this form.

Please be aware that withdrawal is not accepted via telephone or email. Withdrawal is ONLY accepted by submitting this form to the AMC.

Important note: For all withdrawals from examinations after the examination closing date, acceptable certified evidence must be submitted of severe illness or pressing domestic circumstances, in the form of a Doctors certificate (original or certified copy) or a Statutory Declaration. If you do not submit this documentation your refund will not be processed.
