IMPORTANT NOTICE: Changes in AMC examination and assessment fees

The Australian Medical Council has reviewed its schedule of examination and assessment fees and charges, which were last changed in 2005/06. In order to accommodate increased costs associated with the scheduling and delivery of examinations, the AMC is obliged to increase a number of fees and charges associated with the AMC examination and other assessment pathways effective for examination and assessments conducted after 1 July 2010. The revised fees and charges are as follows.

Clinical Withdrawal FeesFee New Fees as of 1 July 2010
Withdrawal from the Clinical Examination- A withdrawal after the acceptance of allocation to a session of the examination. Withdrawal fee of 50% will be levied.$1,255.00 $1,425.00
Withdrawal from the Clinical Examination- A withdrawal after the venue notice for a session of the examination has been sent to candidate a refund will not be given. The AMC may refund 50% of the fee paid in case of severe illness or pressing domestic circumstances.No Refund No Refund

For all withdrawals from examinations after the closing date acceptable certified evidence must be submitted, of severe illness or pressing domestic circumstances, in the form of a Doctors Certificate or Statutory Declaration. Fees are subject to change in light of inescapable cost increases.

The AMC may refund 50% of the fee paid in cases of severe illness or pressing domestic circumstances. Fees are subject to change without notice.
