The following countries are subject to economic and trade sanctions administered and enforced by the U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC):

– North Korea

Residents from the above mentioned countries can ONLY schedule for exams offered at the Cliftons venues. Please refer to the MCQ Examination Dates for 2010.

The AMC has received advice from Pearson VUE and the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) in the USA that, commencing July 2009, residents from both Iran and Sudan who are AMC eligible candidates, may now schedule for the AMC MCQ examination through approved Pearson VUE venues. Please refer to the MCQ Examination Dates for 2010 for a list of available Pearson VUE and/or Cliftons venues.

Special MCQ examinations (non-Saturday)

MCQ On-shore examinations are conducted on specified Saturdays throughout the year. Because the religious beliefs of some candidates prevent them participating on a Saturday, special MCQ examinations are held twice yearly on weekdays in May and November.

If participation on a Saturday conflicts with your religious practice, contact our MCQ examination section to arrange to sit a weekday session. You will need to submit documentary evidence in support of your case for special scheduling.
