Manipal Campus, Melaka-Manipal Medical College
The Manipal campus of the Melaka-Manipal Medical College is not currently recognised by the Medical Council of India or the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of India, and the campus is not listed in IMED. Accordingly, graduates of that campus are not eligible to apply under one of the Australian Medical Council (AMC) assessment pathways.

The AMC understands that the Melaka campus of Melaka-Manipal Medical College is currently recognised by the Malaysian Medical Council and is listed in IMED. Accordingly, graduates of the College who have either undertaken their whole course of study in Malaysia, or who have undertaken their clinical component in Malaysia will be accepted by the AMC as eligible candidates on the basis of the listing in IMED and recognition by the Malaysian Medical Council. Graduates from the Melaka-Manipal Medical College will need to provide supporting documentary evidence that they have completed their course of study in Malaysia to meet the requirements for eligibility to sit the AMC Examinations.

Queries

The AMC is not able to answer queries relating to the reasons for the revocation of recognition by the Medical Council of India and the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of India in relation to Kasturba Medical College Mangalore, Kasturba Medical College International Centre Manipal or Manipal Campus, Melaka-Manipal Medical College, as the AMC is not involved in the process of recognition of overseas medical colleges. It would be appropriate to direct any queries of this nature to the relevant accrediting bodies in India.

The AMC will process all applications for EICS verification or applications through one of the assessment pathways in accordance with this notice and with advice received from the EICS.
