Preliminary application aid
A full assessment of the case for the recognition of a medical specialty is resource intensive and time-consuming. Before submitting a full application for the recognition of a medical specialty, an applicant must first establish a prima facie case for full assessment. This is done by submitting a preliminary application. The Australian Medical Council (AMC) has developed an aid to provide guidance on the format of any preliminary application.
This document is provided to assist organisations to develop such a preliminary application. This document does not replace or supersede the information contained in the Recognition of Medical Specialties: Policy and Process.
