University of Notre Dame Fremantle_Executive Summary 2009

The University of Notre Dame Australia School of Medicine Fremantle enrolled its first students in 2005, following an assessment in 2004 by an Australian Medical Council (AMC) assessment team. The AMC’s 2004 assessment had resulted in accreditation subject to a number of conditions, which included follow up visits to review the progressive implementation of later years of the course. Based on the findings of its 2006 review, the AMC had agreed to visit again in 2007. In preparation for this visit, the School reviewed the implementation of Year 3 of the course, provided detailed plans for Year 4 and addressed the issues raised in the 2006 accreditation report.
