Undergraduate medical education and unorthodox medical practice - 2000 |

During 1997 and 1998, the Australian Medical Council (AMC) discussed some of the issues arising from the growth of unorthodox health practices commonly referred to as complementary therapies or alternative medicine. This discussion resulted in the establishment of a working party of the AMC Accreditation Committee to consider the issues relevant to the AMC in the exercise of its responsibilities for standards of basic medical education in Australia and New Zealand.
